“A native Southern Californian, I had intended to leave my job in North Carolina and move back there when I was approached by Pacifica Pet Hospital.  After getting to know the owners, doctors, and staff here, and seeing how beautiful the Bay Area is, I’m excited to be joining the team.  I think it’s going to be a wonderful fit, and I look forward to helping you keep your pets healthy and happy.”

Unsurpassed Quality of Care
“I have wanted to be a veterinarian since I was young.  Because of this lifelong love for animals, what’s most important to me as a veterinarian is to provide your pet with the very highest level of care possible.   Using thorough exams  and state-of-the-art diagnostic tools and treatments,  I strive be a leader in the veterinary community and to set new standards for quality of care.”

Education and experience you and your pet can count on.

“My education at Colorado State gave me a wonderful foundation to provide the very best medicine possible for your pet.  After I graduated from veterinary school, I completed an internship at Animal Medical Hospital in Charlotte, NC.  This internship taught me how to take the knowledge I gained in vet school and apply it to real-life situations.  Once the internship was completed, I took a job at a veterinary emergency hospital in North Carolina, where I worked for 5 years – including 3 years as an Emergency Room Veterinarian.  Being an ER vet further honed my skills, teaching me how to use all the tools at my disposal to quickly and accurately diagnose many different types of problems.”
Graduate:  B.S. Zoology, Colorado State University, 1998
Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine:  Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado, 2002

Client Education:  Paramount to good pet care.

“Client Education is very important to me.  I believe that well-informed owners make better decisions about their pets’ care.   And this, in turn, improves the quality of life for our pets.  By spaying and neutering to reduce the number of homeless pets, understanding the medical and behavioral needs of our pets, and learning how to care for our pets through all stages of their lives, we can do quite a bit to improve the lives of pets in our community.”

A wonderful fit
“I’m very impressed with Dr. Vice’s focus and determination to provide the highest possible quality of care for our client’s pets.  I know that she will be a wonderful addition to the team, and will help us to continue our tradition of quality, compassionate care for your pets.” – Dr. Gary Hurlbut
